Plans are afoot!

We’re getting into gear later than usual this year owing to various illnesses and other distractions, but we are now close to finalising the line-up for Folk at the Boat 2018, so keep watching this space and there will be announcements very soon!

A big thank you…

… to all the performers who contributed to a fantastic day on Saturday, to everyone who came along to enjoy it, and of course to Andy Barlow and the team at the Steamboat!

We couldn’t have asked for better weather, although our valiant morris dancers might have preferred it to be one notch cooler. Still, after last year’s rain no-one was complaining and it was lovely to be able to be outside for the whole event.

We’re going to have a little rest now, and perhaps a nice cold drink.

It’s all about the archives at the moment

As The Committee get to grips with the nitty-gritty of organising this year’s event, the gnomes – well, all right, the gnome – is busy updating the archive pages. Please go and take a look, we’re nearly there.

However … if anyone has photographs of the 2011 Steamboat Folk Weekend, you will observe that that puts you one-up on us. Please get in touch, we’d be grateful for anything you could let us have.
